Prezados, o PPGFQM divulga o Webnário de Capacitação Virtual da Reaxys, que acontecerá no dia 17/04/2024. A Reaxys é uma plataforma de dados químicos disponibilizados pela Elsevier para auxiliar na busca de patentes, revistas, substâncias, bioatividades e reações na área de química e afins. Docente permanente do PPGFQM recebe o Título de Doutor Honoris Causa outorgado pela UNIVASF. O título de Doutor Honoris Causa é a maior honraria concedida por uma Universidade a uma personalidade que tenha se destacado, singularmente, por sua contribuição à cultura, à educação, à ciência ou à Humanidade. A outorga do título ao Professor Emérito Eliezer J Barreiro foi efetivada em cerimônia realizada no auditório Quinhentão, do Centro de Ciências da Saúde, conduzida pelo cerimonial da Reitoria da UFRJ. A cerimônia teve a participação do Magnífico Reitor da Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco (Instituição outorgante do Título), Professor Telio Nobre Leite; do Decano do Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Professor Luiz Eurico Nasciut; do Diretor do Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas da UFRJ, Professor José Garcia Abreu Júnior; do Coordenador do Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas de Plantas Medicinais da Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco, proponente do Título, Professor Jackson Roberto Guedes da Silva Almeida e do Magnífico Reitor da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Professor Roberto de Andrade Medronho.

Congratulations on your excellent work Permanent faculty member of the PPGFQM receives the title of Doctor Honoris Causa awarded by UNIVASF. The title of Doctor Honoris Causa is the highest honor bestowed by a university on a personality who has distinguished themselves, singularly, for their contribution to culture, education, science, or humanity. The award of the title to Professor Emeritus Eliezer J Barreiro was held in a ceremony held in the Quinhentão auditorium of the Center for Health Sciences, led by the ceremonial of the UFRJ Rectory. The ceremony was attended by the Magnificent Rector of the Federal University of the Vale do São Francisco (institution awarding the title), Professor Telio Nobre Leite; the Dean of the Center for Health Sciences, Professor Luiz Eurico Nasciut; the Director of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of UFRJ, Professor José Garcia Abreu Júnior; the Coordinator of the Nucleus of Studies and Research on Medicinal Plants of the Federal University of the Vale do São Francisco, proponent of the Title, Professor Jackson Roberto Guedes da Silva Almeida, and the Magnificent Rector of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Professor Roberto de Andrade Medronho. The PPGFQM congratulates Professor Eliezer Barreiro for this well-deserved and outstanding recognition at the national level.

Among the works registered in 2023 for the 55th Brazilian Congress of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil), whose theme was “Exploring New Technologies in Pharmacology and Therapeutics”, five finalists were selected. These finalists had the opportunity to present their results during the 25th José Ribeiro do Valle Award session, chaired by the vice-president of SBFTE, Dr. Thiago Mattar Cunha (USP-RP). The JRV Evaluation Committee was composed of Dr. Ralf Jockers (Institut Cochin-CNRS, France), Dr. Walter Kock (Temple University School of Medicine, USA), and Dr. Maria M. Campos (PUC-RS, Coordinator). We congratulate doctoral student Nathália Ferreira de Oliveira and her advisor Dr. Claudia Lucia Martins Silva for the award and for the excellent work!"
